The WIM Catalog has over 1,100 titles of classical music from the 16th to 21st Century, specializing in solos and ensembles at the educational, service, and professional levels. Music from the WIM Catalog is performed by professionals and other performing musicians worldwide, and is used as contest and audition material in the U.S.A and abroad.
Western International Music, Inc. grew out of a desire to provide fine music for Woodwinds, Saxophones, Brass, and Percussion--the instruments with a relatively brief solo and ensemble history. In conjuction with these instruments the categories of Mixed Ensemble, Strings, Vocal and Piano developed. An extensive repertoire for Organ music--solo, duet and with other instruments--grew from association in the 1960s with the Southern California Chapters of the American Guild of Organists.
WIM is proud to present the beginning of its unique series of compact discs--premier recordings by WIM Records. All the sheet music featured on each CD is published, printed and distributed by Western International Music, Inc. Since much of the music is on state prescribed music and audition lists in the U.S.A and abroad, CDs by WIM Records offer a wonderful learning opportunity to students and professionals alike. The music on each compact disc has been professionally performed and recorded. Each disc is from digitally recorded and mastered tapes, and digitally re-mastered analog tapes from the WIM Records LP archives. Total duration is from 60 to 75 minutes per disc. An attractive and informative booklet accompanies each CD.
WIM has a complete on-site printing facility ensuring all music in the WIM Catalog is in print and in stock. Likewise, the complete on-site compact disc manufacturing facility ensures the availibility and high quality of all WIM CDs.
